I lived in Ankara and Antalya before college. I graduated from Middle East Technical University Department of Industrial Design.

My first job was as a designer in Pelsan, a predominant lighting company. Many lighting products designed by me are still being produced by this company. I worked as a research assistant for four years in the Department of Industrial Design at Istanbul Technical University, followed by a year of attending courses as a part-time lecturer.

I worked as a manager in Anka Carpet and Uşaklıgil Carpet companies. I watched, participated in, and realized the creation of many new quality lines. I ordered and monitored the production of carpets in foreign countries like Romania and Pakistan. I managed domestic sales and export of the rugs and kilims produced.

Later on, I designed and produced point of purchase stands, show decorations, and exhibition stands in my own company, Anka Design. As a freelance designer, I designed various products such as furniture, decoration accessories, and lighting products.

Beginning in 2011, I served initially as a designer and then as the design coordinator in the rebirth of the nationally well-known carpet trademark, Atlas Halı. We created the first collection together with many successful designers in a short time. With the establishment of Atlas design team, we created new collections that became very successful in the market.

I worked as a design manager between 2015 and 2017 in Empera Halı. This duration established me as one of the design directors with the highest expertise in international and domestic machine-made carpet markets.

On May 1, 2015, Uşaklıgil Carpet and Design Store and design office was opened. We are currently providing carpet design services to many manufacturers. We also offer a special selection of carpets, including our own designs for various recognized brands and our own brand, in the store.

Products designed by my team and me are being used in hundreds of thousands of homes, workplaces and public spaces. Nevertheless, I still feel an enormous happiness and excitement when I see one of my designs being produced or used.
